Changes:
Per the Chief of Boston
Dept – General Order issued on Thursday March 8th, 2007 at 1700 hrs
and in effect same day at 1800 hrs
1. Two and one responses
are done away with - all Boxes struck upon receiving one call
2. No more Working Fires
– Level of response done away with on the running cards
3. The 3rd
Engine on the first alarm response is automatically the Standby Company
4. If the Standby Company
on the 1st alarm runs a line, Chief must strike a 2nd
alarm*
(* if the chief reports
all companies working or three lines run, FAO will strike 2nd alarm)
5. On the 2nd
alarm, the 4th engine company is a RIT (Rapid intervention Team)
6. On the 2nd
alarm, the 2nd Ladder is also a RIT
7. Both 2nd
alarm RIT companies will stage at a designated area
8. An additional Chief
will respond on the 2nd as the RIT chief
9. On the 3rd
Alarm and additional chief will respond as a NET chief
10. Each additional alarm
level brings new RIT companies to stage
