Dispatch / Frequency lay out:

The Hudson Fire Department, recently switched over to digital from analog voice transmissions. The department utilizes a dedicated dispatch frequency 153.950 and a dedicated fire ground frequency 155.955. These frequencies transmit from dispatch a digital and analog voice at the same time, but apparatus and personnel transmit and receive a digital voice, but have the capability to switch over to an all analog voice if needed. The dispatch center is complemented with a computer CAD interface radio system, which allows for a computer mouse to take over all point and click operations for radio transmissions, compared to the past's multiple buttons for tones, transmission and other operational functions.

Mutual Aid:

The Hudson Fire Department utilizes a strict run card allowing us to use multiple and crucial services from mutual aid associates from near by communities. These associates are very important to large scale incidents within the town of Hudson, ranging from airline crash's, structure fire's and other large incidents.
